i wanted to record all the songs i was playing live ...in the setting in which they were written. just me and my guitar in my bedroom. the result feels very live, maybe even sloppy, but honest.
in the fall of 2001, ranchero was played on the NPR radio program cartalk and was later published on the compilation born not to run: more disrespectful car songs.
likewise, mud was featured on a compilation cd benefiting the center for texas music history called travelin' texas volume 2.
where credit is due...
all of these songs were written and performed by adam kay with the exception of the following: the wayward bus was written by adam kay and jeremy raub.
